AB Science Secures Debt Repayment Extension and Financial Stability
AB Science announced on Monday a definitive agreement with all its financial creditors regarding the postponement of its debt repayment deadlines. This agreement follows a negotiation period during which a standstill was granted by the creditors.
Restructuring of Repayment Terms
The company has reached a unanimous agreement with its creditors on the following terms: a 24-month postponement of its bank debt repayment (total amount of approximately 3.7 million euros) and a 12-month postponement of the repayment of a loan taken from the EIB (total principal amount of 12 million euros, initially repayable in January and December 2028). Additionally, the contract stipulating the repayment of support provided by Bpifrance for the ROMANE research project in the event of commercial success of masitinib in neurology, has also been restructured.
Extended Financing Capacity
Given this agreement and its current cash position, AB Science states that it can fund its operations beyond the next 12 months. The company also postpones the publication of its annual report to no later than May 13, 2026.
