Assystem selected by Babcock under a five-year global framework agreement
Assystem is among a select number of strategic partners chosen by Babcock International Group for a procurement arrangement covering multiple defense and infrastructure sectors.
The selection expands the engineering group's scope of intervention on programs conducted in the United Kingdom and internationally.
A five-year framework agreement covering multiple sectors
Babcock International Group has selected Assystem as a key supplier under a new five-year global framework agreement, announced on August 20, 2026. This arrangement is intended to support the execution of programs in the defense and infrastructure sectors.
The agreement covers nuclear, naval, aerospace, land systems and mission systems. It provides Assystem with the opportunity to contribute to various Babcock programs in the United Kingdom and internationally.
Strengthening collaboration with a select number of partners
The framework agreement aims to streamline Babcock's procurement processes and strengthen its collaboration with a select number of strategic partners, including Assystem. The group's teams will be able to mobilize their engineering expertise earlier in projects.
According to Assystem, this agreement strengthens its presence on strategic sites in British defense and continues its experience with the British Ministry of Defence, Rolls-Royce and Babcock.
An existing relationship between the two groups
This selection follows an already established relationship between Assystem and Babcock. Simon Barber, Chief Executive Officer of Assystem UK, stated that the agreement represents for the group "an opportunity to contribute to programs essential to national security, sovereignty and the safe delivery of complex defense infrastructure".
The group highlights its ability to mobilize employees who hold the security clearances required for long-term missions.
