Capital B Stock Rises 4.43% to €0.68 After Raising €15.2M in Bitcoins
Capital B's stock has increased by 4.43% to €0.68 at midday, moving against the trend of a CAC 40 that is down nearly 1%. The French Bitcoin Treasury Company benefits from the announcement of a fundraising aimed at bolstering its bitcoin reserves. Over the week, the stock has gained 13.77%, though it still shows a loss of 46.91% over the year.
A New Fundraising to Accumulate 182 Bitcoins
Capital B announced this Monday a fundraising of €15.2 million from international institutional investors, including Adam Back and TOBAM. The operation takes the form of a share issue with attached warrants. The funds are intended for the acquisition of an additional 182 bitcoins and for financing the group's operational activities. This operation is part of a sustained pace. In early May, the company had already mobilized €1.1 million from Adam Back, following a capital increase of €0.4 million at the end of April that allowed the acquisition of 6 BTC at €0.65 per share. The reserve then stood at 2,943 bitcoins, at an average cost of €91,924 per unit. The new operation would bring the total to over 3,100 BTC once executed. However, the capital structure remains under pressure. The net short positions reported to the AMF reach 2.75% of the capital, up 0.67 points in thirty days, mainly driven by Qube Research & Technologies (1.66%) and Marshall Wace (1.09%).
A Fragile Technical Rebound Below Moving Averages
The stock remains far from its long-term benchmarks. The price at €0.68 is 64.64% below the 200-day moving average at €1.92, which reflects the magnitude of the decline accumulated over a year. On shorter horizons, the gap narrows significantly: the stock is 4.37% below the MM20 and 1.59% below the MM50, two thresholds that today's rebound is gradually approaching. The RSI at 44 indicates a neutral dynamic, without signs of overheating. The price is in the lower part of the Bollinger bands, at 40% of the amplitude, between the support at €0.58 and the resistance at €0.82. The one-month volatility, at 45.2%, reflects the amplitude of daily movements observed on the stock. The company does not communicate a date for the next publication in the financial calendar. The pace of announcements about the bitcoin reserve and the execution of the announced fundraising remain the most tangible factual elements in the short term.
