Clariane share falls below €3.30, lowest level in a year
The retirement home and home care services group extends its decline at midday, in a Paris market that is also clearly oriented downward. It ranks among the most penalized values in the broad index, following a series of declines that has been stretching since the start of the school year.
A support level at €3.23 increasingly within reach
The Clariane share falls 3.67% to €3.30 during the session, among the strongest declines of the SBF 120, which itself retreats by 1.32%. The stock is now down 13.4% over one month and 17.7% over three months. The price is 6.9% below its 20-day moving average, 13.3% below its 50-day moving average and 15.7% below its 200-day moving average, which leaves little room before the support level at €3.23, approximately 2% from the current price.
The RSI at 40 remains far from the oversold zone, indicating that the decline has not yet exhausted its momentum. The group had nevertheless returned to growth earlier in October: the stock had gained 2.5% on October 14, after losing 4% on October 8. It subsequently returned to the downward trend, at the pace of a clearly bearish session for both the value and the index.
A Paris market shaken by social tensions and debt
The CAC 40 falls 1.34% to 7,849.74 points, following a weekend marked by violence in several French cities, according to market context provided by the editorial team. French debt remains under pressure: the 10-year OAT is at 4.79% according to the Banque de France reading from October 16, or 1.37 percentage points above the German Bund. Emeis, another player in the retirement home sector, retreats 3.65% during the session.
On the fundamentals side, Clariane had published its first-half 2026 results on July 29, with the objective of improving its EBITDA margin by 100 to 150 basis points by the end of 2026. The group also signed on September 22 a renewable credit line of €700 million maturing in 2031, shortly after completing a €500 million senior bond placement on September 8.
