Eiffage share breaks through its support at €98.72, lagging the CAC 40
The construction and motorway concession group slips again during the session, in a Paris market clearly oriented downwards. The security briefly pierced a closely watched technical threshold before returning above it.
A support broken during the session, then regained at the cost of a 1.83% decline
The Eiffage share is down 1.83% at €99.10 during the session, after breaking through its support at €98.72 down to a low of €98.08. The security returned above this level shortly after, but remains below its MA20 (gap of 2.82%), while the CAC 40 declines by 1.33%. The stock occupies the bottom of the Paris index table, far from the gap widened with its MA200, 20.66% above the current price.
The decline is part of a long-standing slide: the security is down 18.34% over three months, following a rebound of 1.5% observed on October 15 which had not reversed the trend. The RSI at 39.5 remains in neutral territory.
A mixed half-year: motorway traffic down, order book up
Upon the publication of H1 2026, on July 28, the group had indicated it anticipated business growth of lesser magnitude than in 2025. Among the risks cited, total traffic for APRR and AREA was down 2.5%, affected by the rise in fuel prices. On the opportunities side, the Works order book increased 7% year-on-year.
Sector comparables are following the same trend today: Bouygues and Vinci each decline 1.76% during the session, with declines of 6% and 4.2% over one month. According to declarations consulted, net short positions on Eiffage reach 1.13% of capital, divided between two funds, a level up sharply over thirty days but which remains contained. The support at €98.72 is the level to watch for the next session.
