Eiffage share falls below its support level at €98.72, in the red on the CAC 40
The construction and motorway concessions group extends its decline in a falling Paris market. Goldman Sachs revised its position on Tuesday, while the share remains well below its moving averages.
A decline that widens the gap with moving averages
The Eiffage share loses 1.75% to €97.44 in trading, while the CAC 40 falls 0.65%. The stock ranks among the index's largest declines. It had broken through its support level at €98.72 on Monday, and it falls back below this level on Tuesday. The session adds to an already difficult quarter: -19.7% over three months, with a price now 4.1% below its MA20 and 21.9% below its MA200.
Bouygues (-1.13%) and Vinci (-1.17%) also declined on Tuesday, with losses of 6.9% and 4.9% over one month. The Paris market context remains tense: French debt is under scrutiny, ahead of the sovereign rating review by Moody's scheduled for October 23. Brent is at $111.66 per barrel, up 1.9% on the session.
Goldman Sachs lowers its target to €127 and moves to neutral
Goldman Sachs lowered its price target on Tuesday from €148 to €127, with a now neutral rating. This target implies approximately 30% upside potential from the current price. Based on the consensus of surveyed analysts, the share is trading at approximately 8.6 times current-year earnings, and 7.8 times next-year earnings.
On the business side, the group indicated when publishing H1 2026 results (July 28, 2026) that it anticipates slower growth than in 2025, with motorway traffic declining 2.5% for APRR and AREA, in a context of expensive fuel. The Works order book was progressing in parallel by 7% year-on-year. In the immediate term, the support level at €98.72 is the level that the price must reclaim to erase its breakout.
