Elis Joins the Board of Directors of the Global Compact - Network France and Strengthens its CSR Commitment
Elis Group accelerates its commitment to the United Nations by joining the board of directors of the UN Global Compact (France network) on Thursday. A signatory since 2006, the specialist in circular services aims to enhance its role alongside more than 2,300 French members.
A Twenty-Year Institutional Commitment
Elis formalizes its involvement within the French governance structure of the Global Compact, twenty years after adopting its ten fundamental principles related to human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. This appointment is a continuation of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy and reflects the group's positioning around the circular economic model. Xavier Martiré, Chairman of the Executive Board of Elis, comments: 'We are honored to join the board of the United Nations Global Compact in France. This commitment is fully in line with our values and business model. This nomination is both a recognition of our efforts and an opportunity to contribute more actively, alongside other committed stakeholders, to a more sustainable economy.'
CSR at the Heart of Collective Strategy
The group intends to actively support the transformation and integration of CSR at the heart of the strategies of member organizations of the French network. Elis thus participates in the collective action carried by the Global Compact, launched in 2000, to align business practices with the ten United Nations principles and contribute to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
