Florentaise: restructuring plan approved, creditor repayment over 10 years
The Nantes Commercial Court approved on August 19, 2026 the restructuring plan for Florentaise and its parent company Floreasy, ending the proceedings initiated on March 5, 2025. The company emerges from the period with a reduced scope and new general management.
Cessation of consumer activity and workforce reduced to 15 employees
The judgment of August 19, 2026 concludes a restructuring process that led Florentaise to suspend its Terreaux Consumer Activity France and to sell 4 of its 9 sites in France.
Following the closure of this activity, the workforce in France is now 15 people, compared to 186 previously. The approved restructuring plan includes no redundancies for economic reasons.
The sites of Louresse, Lavilledieu, Treffort-Cuisiat and Saint-Escobille were sold for an amount close to €7 million. The company is refocusing on three activities: Professional Substrates in China, rental of Bivis wood waste defibering equipment in Europe and the United States, and manufacturing of low-carbon raw materials in France.
Creditor repayment spread over ten years
The plan provides for full repayment of privileged creditors at 100% of the claim amount and non-privileged creditors at 40% of the claim amount over a period of 10 years.
Claims held by shareholders will be subject to a complete freeze for the duration of the plan. The first payment will take place on the anniversary date of plan approval, namely August 19, 2027.
Florentaise must allocate a portion of its annual profit to dividend payments to shareholders so that Floreasy can repay its creditors in accordance with the terms set out in its plan approval.
Chloé Moreau-Chupin appointed Chief Executive Officer
The exit from the procedure is accompanied by a change in governance. Jean-Pascal Chupin, Chairman of the Board of Directors, is replaced as of August 1, 2026 by his daughter Chloé Moreau-Chupin in the position of Chief Executive Officer of Florentaise.
Antoine Chupin has been an employee of Floreasy since April 2026 as a sales representative attached to the Bivis and international activities of the group. He will eventually assume the role of legal representative of Florentaise subsidiaries in China, India and the United States.
