For Honor: Ubisoft Launches Unleashed Season with Dead by Daylight Collaboration
The French publisher is rolling out the second season of the 10th year of its game For Honor, featuring a new look inspired by a collaboration with Dead by Daylight and a limited-time thematic event.
New Oni Appearance and Thematic Contents
Unleashed, the second season of the 10th year of For Honor, goes live this Wednesday. The season introduces a new heroic appearance for the Sohei, titled 'The Oni's Wrath,' inspired by the Oni character from the game Dead by Daylight. This skin is accompanied by a dedicated weapon and two marketed bundles: 'The Oni's Hunt Bundle' containing the skin, a 'Bloodcurdling Scream' emote, 'The Oni's Craving' execution, and a 'Blood Aura Mood FX' ambient effect; and 'The Oni's Hunt Deluxe Bundle,' which additionally offers access to the Sohei hero along with all the previous contents. A one-week free trial of the Sohei hero will be available at the launch of the skin.
Dead by Daylight Event and Limited Game Modes
A collaborative event titled 'Survivors of the Fog' will run from June 11 to July 2. This event will feature a 4v4 PvP mode similar to Dominion, where two teams compete to control generator zones. The mode includes the appearance of the Trapper, a deadly fighter who can be killed to generate points. Reaching 1,000 points will allow a team to neutralize the opposing team. An event leaderboard will be available for players.
Progression Passes and Access to Other Heroes
The season introduces a Battle Pass and a separate Legacy Pass, each offering unlockable rewards. The Battle Pass includes effects, ornaments, combat outfits, emotes, and executions, as well as a weapon for each hero. The Legacy Pass offers effects, battle outfits, an ornament, a signature, and an execution, complemented by a weapon for each hero available in Y6S2 and a new weapon for heroes released since. Three free trial periods for additional heroes are scheduled: Nuxia on July 2, Valkyrie on July 9, and Kensei on July 16, each doubling the experience gained and including unique executions.
