Getlink: Truck Traffic Down 2% and Passengers Decrease by 10% in April
Getlink has released its traffic figures for April 2026. The Shuttle Freight saw a 2% decrease in the number of trucks transported, while the passenger segment fell by 10% due to the shift in British school holidays.
In April 2026, LeShuttle Freight transported 96,881 trucks, a decrease of 2% compared to April 2025 (98,751 trucks). Since January 1, 2026, more than 390,000 trucks have crossed the Channel on the shuttles. Over the same period last year (January-April 2025), the total was 400,895 trucks, marking a 2% year-on-year decline.

LeShuttle transported 184,662 tourist vehicles in April 2026, down 10% from April 2025 (204,685 vehicles). This decrease is attributed to the shift in British school holidays. In the first four months of the year, more than 550,000 tourist vehicles were transported, compared to 574,802 over the same period in 2025, representing a decline of 4%.
