Getlink: Truck Traffic Down 2% and Passengers Decrease by 10% in April
Getlink has released its traffic figures for April 2026. The Shuttle Freight saw a 2% decrease in the number of trucks transported, while the passenger segment fell by 10% due to the shift in British school holidays.
In April 2026, LeShuttle Freight transported 96,881 trucks, a decrease of 2% compared to April 2025 (98,751 trucks). Since January 1, 2026, more than 390,000 trucks have crossed the Channel on the shuttles. Over the same period last year (January-April 2025), the total was 400,895 trucks, marking a 2% year-on-year decline.

LeShuttle transported 184,662 tourist vehicles in April 2026, down 10% from April 2025 (204,685 vehicles). This decrease is attributed to the shift in British school holidays.
