Hopium Showcases Its Hydrogen Technology at the Euromaritime Exhibition
Hopium participated in the Euromaritime exhibition in Marseille from February 3 to 5, 2026, to showcase its hydrogen fuel cell technology dedicated to maritime applications. The company positioned itself as the sole French supplier and manufacturer of this technology at the exhibition.
Innovative Hydrogen Fuel Cell Solutions
Hopium presented its range of scalable hydrogen fuel cell solutions, with power ranging from 100 kW to 400 kW, designed for heavy transport and maritime applications. Alongside Qair and Kinell (Fétis Group) at the France Hydrogène pavilion, the company highlighted its involvement in the K-Challenge project, aimed at accelerating the development of a hydrogen solution for the decarbonization of maritime transport. According to Hopium, the maritime and stationary markets are the most advanced in terms of operational deployment of hydrogen for both propulsion applications and onboard energy generation.
Strategic Networking and Industry Engagement
Throughout the exhibition, Hopium's teams established commercial contacts with shipowners and shipyards interested in pilot deployments, as well as discussions with regional decision-makers. The exhibition brought together nearly 300 exhibitors and several thousand maritime sector professionals. The presence and speeches by Catherine Chabaud, Minister in charge of the Sea and Fisheries, Philippe Tabarot, Minister of Transport, and Xavier Ducept, Secretary General of the Sea, highlighted the attention paid by public authorities to the industrial and environmental challenges of the maritime sector.
