Icade Shares Hit Record Low, Breaking Through the €18.50 Support
The office property company sinks during the session in a sharply declining Parisian market. The stock sets a new historical low and breaks a closely watched technical support as the CAC 40 falls amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
A Historic Low at €18.20, Breaking the €18.50 Support
Icade shares fell 2.93% to €18.22, after touching €18.20 during the session, a historic low that erases the previous bottom of June 23 (€18.25). Today's movement has broken through the €18.50 support, with no significant rebound as the close approaches. The stock is trading below its MM20 (€19.93), MM50 (€20.20), and MM200 (€20.68), with a gap of nearly 12% from the long average, reflecting the deteriorating trend over recent weeks.
The RSI at 35 indicates persistent selling pressure without yet being in a marked oversold zone. Today's drop brings the monthly decline to 11.4% and the annual loss to 16.3%.
A Heavy Market Context and a Busy Corporate Calendar
The decline is part of a CAC 40 that is down 1.88% and an SBF 120 that is down 1.83%, while the VIX jumps 12% to 18.08. US strikes claimed against Iran and the Iranian response in Kuwait and Bahrain fuel a widespread risk aversion on European markets. On the corporate front, the company announced yesterday the launch, with Bpifrance and Banque des Territoires, of the Urban Ventures fund, endowed with €45 million and targeting €80 million, dedicated to building startups.
The past month also saw the appointment of Karine Anne Huberfeld to the Executive Committee as Secretary-General and the arrival of Raphaël Appert as chairman of the board of directors. According to the consensus of surveyed analysts, the stock is trading at about 6.2 times the expected earnings for the current fiscal year. The next technical downside marker in case of continued movement remains to be defined below today's threshold, while the identified resistance remains at €21.42.
