In the upper part of the SBF 120, Maurel et Prom share advances by 2.5%
The hydrocarbon producer rebounds in mid-morning trading, in a Paris market slightly oriented downward. This rebound comes after a decline that had caused a technical threshold to be breached, which has been monitored for several sessions. Oil prices remain close to their elevated levels of recent weeks.
A 2.5% rebound that partially recovers the threshold lost the previous day
The share Maurel et Prom gains 2.48% to €7.87 in trading, while the SBF 120 declines 0.34%. The title ranks among the strongest gainers in the index, far behind Forvia, which claims nearly 10%. This renewed activity follows the abandonment of support at €7.71 observed on Tuesday, a level that the price clearly reclaims this morning.
The title nevertheless remains below its three moving averages: the MA20 at €8.10 is 2.9% above the current price, the MA200 at €8.37 is 6% above the current price. Over seven days, performance remains negative (-1.07%), so today's rebound merely attenuates this decline.
Brent around 101 dollars and a P/E ratio of 6 for the Gabonese producer

When publishing the first half of 2026, on August 6, the group had highlighted its ability to mobilize its cash to finance its growth. On the technical side, the RSI at 39 remains below the neutral zone, and the resistance at €8.50 is situated 8% above the current price.
