Legrand stock climbs 3.5% and takes the lead in the CAC 40
The specialist in electrical and digital infrastructure is benefiting from a favorable market environment on Friday, with the CAC 40 advancing nearly 1%. Morgan Stanley simultaneously raises its price target on the stock, reinforcing the momentum of the security over the week.
A 3.3% surge propels Legrand among the best performers in the CAC 40
Legrand gains 3.3% during the session, at €140.90, positioning itself in the leading group of the CAC 40 at midday. The stock thus erases part of its quarterly decline, which remains around 5.8% over three months. Over the week and month, the trend is significantly more favorable: the increase reaches nearly 4.6% over seven days and 6.8% over one month, confirming a recovery underway since the end of July. The CAC 40 for its part advances 0.97% during the session, in an environment where volatility remains contained, with the VIX falling to 14.48 — its lowest level of the session.
Morgan Stanley raises its target to €160 and sees upside potential of over 13%
On Friday, Morgan Stanley maintains its "overweight" rating on Legrand and raises its price target from €155 to €160, representing upside potential of over 13% compared to the current price. This increase comes a few weeks after the publication of first-half 2026 results (on July 29), during which the group had raised its annual targets, driven in particular by 17% growth excluding currency effects fueled by data centers. On market indicator terms, the stock is now trading above its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at €137.46, the 50-day MA at €139.33 and the 200-day MA at €139.08. Resistance at €142.70 remains the next level to monitor for the short-term trend.
