Melexis: 2025 Revenue Down by 10%, Sequential Improvement in Q4
Melexis reported its 2025 results marked by a decline in annual activity amidst irregular automotive demand. The Belgian semiconductor specialist posted revenues of 839.6 million euros, down 10% year-over-year, with a net income of 112.5 million euros. However, the fourth quarter showed a more favorable year-over-year evolution, with sales up 9%.
Annual Performance Amidst Volatile Automotive Demand
The Belgian group Melexis generated revenues of 839.6 million euros in 2025, down 10% compared to 2024, in an environment characterized by volatile automotive demand. The EUR/USD exchange rate negatively impacted annual sales by 2%. The operating result (EBIT) stood at 134.0 million euros, or 16.0% of sales, compared to 219.9 million euros a year earlier, while net income amounted to 112.5 million euros, down 34%, corresponding to earnings per share of 2.78 euros.
Q4 Shows Growth and Stability
In the fourth quarter of 2025, Melexis recorded revenues of 214.5 million euros, up 9% year-over-year and stable compared to the previous quarter. The quarterly net income increased by 24% to 22.6 million euros, despite a negative impact of 3% due to exchange rates. Automotive applications accounted for 88% of annual sales and 89% of fourth-quarter sales, with the most successful product lines being motor drivers and inductive position sensors.
The board of directors will propose a total gross dividend of 3.70 euros per share for 2025, including an advance payment of 1.30 euros already paid and a balance of 2.40 euros payable from May 21, 2026. For 2026, Melexis anticipates first-half sales close to 2025 levels, with a recovery expected in the second half, a gross margin around 40% in the first half, and an annual CAPEX of about 40 million euros.
