Ten years after co-creating Marcel, an AI platform dedicated to marketing, Microsoft and Publicis Groupe announced on April 8, 2026, the extension of their partnership. The two companies are committed to creating a comprehensive marketing solution that links legacy systems, AI agents, and proprietary data to accelerate outcomes in the era of agentive AI. The stated goal is to enable marketing teams to focus their efforts on strategy, creativity, and innovation by integrating agentive AI into the core of operations.
Strategic Deployment and Media Partnership
As part of this agreement, Publicis will deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot to its more than 110,000 employees worldwide. Publicis has also chosen Microsoft Azure as its preferred cloud provider. Concurrently, Publicis will become Microsoft's global media agency of reference. The two companies will conduct targeted co-innovation built on Microsoft Azure to connect audiences, signals, and performance data.

The partnership combines Microsoft's AI technologies and capabilities with the digital transformation expertise of Publicis Sapient and the proprietary data of Epsilon.
