Nanobiotix stock, worst performer on the SBF 120, loses more than 5%
After a marked rebound the previous day, Nanobiotix suffers a sharp reversal during trading this Friday, posting the worst performance on the SBF 120 while the Paris index advances by more than 1%. The stock briefly broke through its resistance level at the start of the session before quickly falling back below this threshold.
A failed resistance breakthrough preceded by a pullback towards moving averages
The session illustrates a contrasting technical scenario for Nanobiotix. Early in the day, the stock briefly exceeded its resistance at 38.60 €, touching a high of 38.90 €, before pulling back below this level and settling at 36.52 € in mid-afternoon, representing a decline of 5.39% compared to the previous day's close. This rapid reversal transforms the resistance into a reactivated ceiling, with the price ultimately returning within the technical range delimited by support at 31.28 € and this upper bound.
Despite the extent of today's pullback, the stock remains above its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at 34.80 € (a gap of nearly 5%), the 50-day MA at 33.83 € and the 200-day MA at 27.17 €, which represents a gap of more than 34%. The RSI at 60 remains in a neutral to slightly bullish zone, with no oversold signal despite today's decline, suggesting that the underlying momentum remains intact even though the session is clearly unfavorable.
An isolated decline in a supportive Paris market, against a backdrop of solid one-year performance
The contrast with the market is striking: the CAC 40 gains more than 1% during the session and the SBF 120 advances in the same direction, while Nanobiotix alone occupies the last place on the broader index. The Paris biotech company, listed on both Euronext Paris and the Nasdaq Global Select Market (under the symbol NBTX, on a one-to-one ADS to ordinary share basis), records a decline of 2.35% over seven days, which partially offsets the monthly gain of 3.63%. Over one year, the increase remains spectacular at nearly 372%, one of the strongest on the French market over the period. On the analysts' opinions side, no revisions are published today.
On the fundamental front, when publishing first-quarter 2026 results (June 2, 2026), the company highlighted the progress of clinical studies on NBTXR3 (JNJ-1900 program) as the main value creation opportunity. The next milestone to monitor remains a possible update on these clinical trials, whose progress constitutes the main driver of the file's valuation. In the meantime, the support at 31.28 € remains the reference low level to watch if the decline were to accelerate in the coming sessions.
