Nexans: Resignation of José Francisco Pérez Mackenna from the Board of Directors
Nexans announced this Thursday the departure of one of its long-standing directors. José Francisco Pérez Mackenna will leave his position on February 1, 2026, to join the Chilean government as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Notification of Resignation
According to the press release published on January 22, Mr. Pérez Mackenna has notified Nexans of his resignation from his directorship, effective February 1, 2026. This resignation also includes his withdrawal from all the committees he was part of within the group. Until now, he had been a member of the Audit, Accounts and Risk Committee, the Nominations and Corporate Governance Committee, the Compensation Committee, and the Strategic and Sustainable Development Committee. The company indicated that the individual has accepted an invitation to join the government of the Republic of Chile as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The board of directors has acknowledged Mr. Pérez Mackenna's commitment and contribution since his appointment in 2011, marking fifteen years of participation in the council and its committees.

According to the press release, José Francisco Pérez Mackenna has been a member of the Nexans board of directors since 2011. During this period, he actively participated in the work of four distinct committees within the group's governance. The board of directors expressed its gratitude for the exceptional contribution made by the outgoing director over these years. Nexans also conveyed its best wishes for success to Mr. Pérez Mackenna in his new ministerial responsibilities within the Chilean government. No information has been released regarding a potential replacement or the appointment of a new director at this stage.
