NFL Biosciences: Three Presentations on NFL-101 and NFL-102 Selected for SRNT-Europe 2026

This selection includes an oral presentation on NFL-102 and two scientific posters, marking a milestone in the recognition of the Montpellier-based biotech's strategy by the international smoking and nicotine addiction research community.
An Oral Presentation on the Mechanism of Action of NFL-102
NFL-102 will be featured in an oral presentation titled 'Combined brain PET imaging and proteomics in a mouse model of tobacco-smoke exposure reveal the region-specific effects of NFL-102 on neuroimmune and signaling pathways'. This communication, presented by Nicolas Tournier, director of the Biomaps unit at CEA Paris-Saclay, will focus on work combining brain positron emission tomography (PET) imaging and proteomic analyses in a murine model of tobacco smoke exposure. The goal is to characterize the effects of NFL-102 on neuroimmune and signaling pathways involved in nicotine addiction mechanisms.
The selection of this work as an oral presentation reflects, according to the biotech, the scientific interest aroused by NFL-102 and its novel approach exploring the interactions between tobacco exposure, the immune system, and the central nervous system.
Two Posters on Biomarkers and Trial Design
Two poster communications complement the oral presentation. The first, titled 'Baseline IgG1 Levels as a Candidate Predictive Biomarker of NFL-101 Efficacy in Smoking Cessation: A Post-hoc Analysis of the CESTO2 Phase II Randomized Controlled Trial', covers a retrospective analysis of baseline IgG1 levels as a potential predictive biomarker of NFL-101 efficacy in smoking cessation. This research is part of the company's approach to identifying a target population more likely to respond to treatment.
The second poster, 'Targeting Neuroinflammatory Pathways in Nicotine Dependence: Rationale and Design of the TONIC Phase II Trial of NFL-102 for Smoking and Nicotine Cessation', will present the scientific rationale and design of the TONIC clinical trial aimed at evaluating NFL-102 in smoking and nicotine cessation. This trial aims to confirm the safety profile of NFL-102, select its optimal dose, and assess its efficacy.
