One of the steepest declines on the SBF 120 for Maurel et Prom shares (-2.5%)
The hydrocarbon producer retreats after its weekly rebound, in a Paris market that is nonetheless slightly positive. Its decline places it at the bottom of the broad index rankings, while oil is also declining during the session.
A decline that brings the stock back to contact with its 50-day moving average
During the session, Maurel et Prom loses 2.47% to €8.09, among the steepest declines on the SBF 120, while the index advances 0.21%. The stock still gains 3.65% over seven days, but this decline brings it back to contact with its MA50 at €8.10, which it had reclaimed in recent days. It remains above the MA20 (€8.04, spread of 0.62%) and below the MA200 (€8.46, spread of 4.37%), so the rebound has not yet erased the gap with the long-term trend. Brent declines 2.22% to $103.71 per barrel at midday, a movement on which the producer historically depends for its selling prices.
