Philips Launches IntelliVue PM 6000, an Entry-Level Patient Monitor Range
Philips is expanding its patient monitor portfolio by introducing on Wednesday an entry-level solution aimed at facilities facing budgetary and operational constraints. The IntelliVue Patient Monitor 6000 Series combines measurement flexibility and connectivity options to meet the needs of rural hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
A Modular Design to Adapt Monitoring Capabilities
The PM 6000 Series is based on an 'integrated measurements plus expansion' architecture: three models offer built-in basic parameters, complemented by two technological innovations. The IntelliVue Measurement Rack 6000 utilizes existing IntelliVue modules to quickly extend monitoring capabilities without replacing equipment. The new Flexible Link technology, a first for Philips, introduces standardized connectors allowing for the addition of measurements post-purchase through a new generation of compatible modules across monitors. This modularity relies on the same IntelliVue software as the MX line, facilitating clinical adoption and integration into existing infrastructures. The standardized, all-in-one design of the PM 6000 Series aims to simplify deployment, training, and maintenance. The streamlined design also supports cleaning protocols and infection control, critical issues in hospital environments.
Progressive Connectivity for Organizations in Digital Transition
The PM 6000 Series offers several deployment modes: standalone monitor use, direct connection to the electronic medical record via HL7 protocol, or integration into the Philips patient monitoring enterprise ecosystem. When integrated into an existing Philips fleet, the PM 6000 Series reuses supplies from established MX monitors, reducing transition costs.
