Philips secured the top spot among medical technology companies in the EPO's 2025 technology dashboard. The group submitted 1,289 patent applications to the organization in 2025. According to the press release, Philips is also the leading Dutch patent applicant at the EPO. Medical technology is the most significant field for Dutch patent applications submitted to the EPO.
