SCOR Repatriates Its Irish Reinsurance Subsidiary to France
The French reinsurer finalized on January 8, 2026, the cross-border transformation of its Irish subsidiary SCOR Global Reinsurance Ireland into a French public limited company, now named SCOR Global Reinsurance France SA and placed under the supervision of the ACPR.
Completion of the Relocation Process
SCOR SE has announced the completion of the relocation of its Irish subsidiary SGRI, which has become a French public limited company established at the group's Paris headquarters, 5 Avenue Kléber. According to the press release, all assets and obligations of the former Irish entity remain unchanged, and there are no changes for commercial counterparties. The new entity SGRF now operates under the control of the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority, replacing the Irish supervision.
Part of the Strategic Plan 'Forward 2026'
This operation is part of the commitments made by the group under its strategic plan 'Forward 2026', the company indicates. The reinsurer continues to pursue its objectives of simplifying its organizational structure and improving its operational efficiency. This cross-border transformation allows the group to further consolidate its reinsurance activities under a French legal entity, centralizing regulatory supervision with the national authority.
