Sodexo Achieves CDP's 'A' Rating for the Second Time
The catering and services group has been distinguished by the CDP organization with the highest 'A' rating for its climate action, according to the press release issued today. Sodexo is the only company in its sector to achieve this recognition among the top 4% of companies rated out of 22,000 evaluated in 2025.
A Reaffirmation of Commitment
According to the group, CDP has awarded Sodexo the 'A' rating for the second time, confirming the robustness of its commitment to climate action. This distinction positions the company among the most advanced in the world in terms of environmental transparency and performance. Out of all the companies evaluated in 2025, only 4% have achieved this maximum rating. The group specifies that it is the sole representative of its sector to be included in this category. The rating reflects the alignment of Sodexo's climate strategy with the Science Based Targets initiative to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.
Significant Reductions in Emissions
According to the press release, Sodexo achieved a 37.7% reduction in its Scope 1 and 2 emissions in 2025 compared to its 2017 baseline. Scope 3 emissions have also decreased by 19.1% over the same period. These results are part of the Better Tomorrow 2025 roadmap, which is coming to an end. Mouna Fassi Daoudi, the group's Director of Sustainable Development, indicates that this distinction acknowledges the commitment of the teams to translate climate ambitions into concrete daily actions in operations and in collaboration with clients.
Launching a New Strategic Phase
The group announces the recent launch of Better Tomorrow 2028, its new strategic phase in sustainability. This roadmap succeeds Better Tomorrow 2025 and aims, according to the company, to accelerate the positive and sustainable impact of Sodexo on its employees, clients, and partners. The CDP organization, which awarded this distinction, is a non-profit entity holding the world's largest environmental database. It evaluates thousands of organizations each year using a rigorous and independent methodology to guide investment and purchasing decisions.
