SPIE share rebounds 3% and erases part of its monthly decline
Spie is regaining ground this Friday, in an SBF 120 also oriented upward. The share of the multi-technical services specialist is benefiting from a favorable revision of price target published the day before by Jefferies, which raises its target to €55, representing an upside potential of over 23% compared to the current price.
Jefferies raises its target to €55 and confirms its buy rating on Spie
Jefferies raised its price target on Spie on Thursday from €50 to €55, while maintaining its buy rating. At €44.58 in trading, the share shows a gap of more than 23% compared to this new target, which represents substantial upside potential according to the available analyst opinions. This positive signal comes in a week when the share gains 3% over seven days, following a difficult phase: the monthly decline reaches 4.62%, while the three-month performance remains negative at -6.03%.
Today's rebound therefore fits more into a stabilization than into a clear trend reversal. It should be noted that dividend payment is scheduled for September 15, a concrete milestone for shareholders in the coming days.
Spie remains below its three moving averages with elevated short positions to monitor
Despite today's gain, Spie's technical setup remains under pressure. The share is trading at €44.58, below its MA20 at €44.92 (difference of -0.76%), and more significantly below its MA50 at €46.90 and its MA200 at €47.84, two averages that form short and medium-term resistance. The RSI at 39 remains in depressed territory without a clear oversold signal, reflecting selling pressure still present despite the start of a rebound. The support identified at €43.10 constitutes the floor to watch in case of a reversal, while resistance at €47.92 remains distant.
Moreover, according to filed declarations, four funds hold 3.67% of capital sold short, up 0.30 points over thirty days. This relatively elevated level indicates that institutional players remain positioned against the value, without however making it possible to determine whether this movement is accelerating or stabilizing. The dividend payment on September 15 represents the next factual calendar milestone for the share.
