The flooring and sports surfaces specialist has received an 'A' rating from the CDP for the second consecutive year, according to the company's statement. This assessment ranks Tarkett among the top-performing companies out of 20,000 evaluated globally.
Global Climate Leadership Recognized Again
Tarkett has once again been recognized as a global climate leader according to the assessment by CDP, a nonprofit organization that manages the leading platform for carbon emission disclosure. According to the group, this 'A' rating confirms the application of the highest standards in climate management, both in its operations and across its entire value chain. The company highlights that CDP's evaluation criteria have been strengthened over the past two years to align with the European CSRD directive, raising the level of requirement needed to achieve this rating.
Commitment to Science-Based Climate Goals
The group's climate goals have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative in 2023, the company states. These commitments include a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain by 2030, compared to 2019. According to Arnaud Marquis, the director of sustainability and safety at Tarkett, the group remains committed to reducing scope 3 emissions and aligning its business models with planetary boundaries. The company continues its sustainability strategy through eco-design, increased use of recycled materials, and sustainable purchasing.
Annual Recognition and Leadership in Europe
Since 2023, Tarkett has been awarded the platinum medal by EcoVadis each year, according to the statement. The group is also listed among the European climate leaders, according to rankings by the Financial Times and Statista. The flooring specialist, which employs nearly 12,000 staff, has 24 research and development centers, 8 recycling centers, and 35 production sites. The group achieved a turnover of 3.3 billion euros in 2024 and markets its solutions in over 100 countries.
