Teleperformance Shares Drop 41% Over the Year, Falling Below €50
Teleperformance shares dip into the red by midday, following a modest rebound that failed to hold. The stock is once again at the bottom of the SBF 120 rankings, while the broader index shows gains. Bearish bets remain firmly in place in the capital.
Share Price Dives Below €50, Staying Far from Moving Averages
The stock falls by 2.15% to €49.10, nearly erasing the entirety of the previous day's rebound. The share price has dropped below the symbolic threshold of €50, showing a decline of nearly 24% over the month, while the annual loss reaches 41%. The stock remains at the back of the pack in the SBF 120, even as the index gains 0.72% during the session and the CAC 40 increases by 0.70%.
The technical disconnection is clear: the price is below its MM20 (€58.12), MM50 (€60.73), and MM200 (€58.67), with a gap of about 16 to 19% under each of these benchmarks. The RSI at 36 indicates persistent selling pressure without tipping into marked overselling, and the support level of €53.06, breached on June 24, now serves as an intermediate ceiling for any recovery attempts.
Analysts Lower Their Targets but Maintain a Positive Outlook
Two brokerage houses have adjusted their views on the stock at the start of this week. TP Icap Midcap has reduced its target from €68 to €63 while maintaining a buy rating, while CIC Market Solutions has lowered its target from €70 to €60 and changed from neutral to hold. Despite these downward revisions, both targets still offer a potential rebound of 22 to 28% from the current price. Based on expected earnings, the stock is trading at about 3.7 times the results of the current fiscal year according to the consensus of analysts surveyed.
The bearish bet remains significant: according to consulted statements, nine funds accumulate 11.45% of the capital sold short, which is 0.12 point more than a month ago. Such a level indicates a firmly entrenched unfavorable positioning, although it does not show an acceleration over thirty days. The next key step remains the stock's behavior around the €53 zone, now a short-term resistance after having long served as support.
