Valeo Launches AI Center in Cairo, 35% of Its Code Already Generated by AI
Valeo marks the 20th anniversary of its presence in Egypt by inaugurating an AI-focused development center in Cairo. This initiative is part of the group's global strategy to integrate AI across all its engineering operations.
The new Cairo center starts with 50 engineers and aims to recruit over 100 specialists in the near future. It leverages Valeo's global network, which currently includes 200 experts and a specialized AI research center. The center focuses on two main objectives: to accelerate the global integration of AI across all Valeo organizational functions to enhance productivity, and to develop high-level tools essential for next-generation intelligent mobility software.

Since its establishment in 2005, Valeo Egypt has emerged as the largest software R&D center in North Africa within the Valeo group. The site brings together a talent pool of 3,000 engineers and contributes to about 50% of the group's global software output. Valeo has implemented coding assistance tools across all its software engineers worldwide, and by the first quarter of 2026, 35% of all validated software code will be produced using AI.
