Following the acquisition, he joined Bristol Myers Squibb as the head of RNA and in vivo CAR-T cells, as well as the director of the Cambridge Kendall Square site. Prior to Orbital, Besin held the positions of Vice President and Head of Discovery Research at Affinivax, where he played a key role in the company's acquisition by GlaxoSmithKline in 2022 for $3.3 billion. Both will remain on the board of directors and will support Besin to ensure a smooth transition and the continued execution of the group's strategic priorities.
