Vallourec Introduces Its Delphy Hydrogen Storage Solution at Hyvolution 2026
Vallourec will participate in Hyvolution 2026, the European hydrogen event, scheduled from January 27 to 29 in Paris. Its hydrogen storage solution, Delphy, has been selected as one of the five winners of the Innovation Award at the event.
Innovative Hydrogen Storage
Delphy is a hydrogen storage solution capable of vertically storing up to 100 tons of gaseous hydrogen underground, according to the press release. Designed to combine high-pressure performance, minimal footprint, and enhanced safety, this turnkey solution is already available on the market. It has received certifications from Bureau Veritas and DNV. Since its launch, Vallourec has established partnerships with three industry players: H2V, a large-scale French green hydrogen producer; NextChem Tech, specializing in decarbonization technologies; and Geostock, an expert in underground energy storage.
Recognition of Technological Innovation
Delphy's selection as one of the five innovation award winners is an acknowledgment of this technology, Vallourec indicates. The company views this distinction as highlighting its ability to transform industrial expertise into concrete solutions for the deployment of large-scale green hydrogen. At Hyvolution 2026, visitors will be able to discover Delphy at the Vallourec booth (J50). Presentations and panel discussions featuring experts from the group are also planned at the event.
Commitment to Green Hydrogen Development
The group positions its commitment within a broader strategy to support the development of the green hydrogen sector. Vallourec, listed on Euronext Paris under the code VK (ISIN: FR0013506730), is a provider of premium seamless tubular solutions for the energy sector and demanding applications. The group employs about 13,000 staff and operates in around twenty countries.
