Vusion to Equip 300 Gratis Stores in Turkey with 2 Million Tags
Vusion announced on Tuesday that its platform has been selected by Gratis, the Turkish leader in hygiene and beauty products, to digitize its stores. The deployment of 2 million electronic labels across 300 retail outlets marks a new stage in the commercial penetration of the Nanterre-based specialist in Turkey, a market that has become a growth driver for the EMEA region.
Deployment of 2 Million Labels in 300 Stores
The agreement between Vusion and Gratis entails the deployment of approximately 2 million electronic shelf labels (ESL) across 300 stores of the Turkish chain. This project will leverage Vusion's connected platform and is expected to be completed by the start of the second half of 2026.
Founded in Istanbul in 2009, Gratis currently operates over 800 stores across 81 cities and employs 9,000 staff members. The company aims to expand its network to 1,500 outlets by 2030.
Operational Improvement and Foundation for Future Innovations
The deployment will enable Gratis to enhance the operational efficiency of its stores by ensuring greater accuracy in labeling and reducing the time spent on manual tasks by store teams.
Vusion states that this initial phase lays the groundwork for future innovation initiatives, which may include retail media, digital customer engagement, and connected in-store services. According to Sébastien Fourcy, SEVP EMEA at Vusion, this choice reflects 'the strong commercial momentum we are building in Turkey, a market that is becoming an increasingly important growth engine for Vusion in the EMEA region.'
Technical Criteria and System Integration
Gratis selected Vusion due to the breadth of its platform, its proven deployment capabilities, the native integration of its infrastructure with Cisco, and the robustness of its industrial manufacturing processes. The close collaboration between the two teams during the evaluation and implementation phases also reinforced this decision.
