Wendel announced on Wednesday the completion of the acquisition of a 56% controlling stake in Committed Advisors from its founding partners, who reinvested the entire net proceeds from the sale into Committed Advisors funds. Founded in 2010, Committed Advisors is a private investment firm operating in the mid-market, providing liquidity solutions for private equity assets to investors and asset management companies. The acquisition structure provides for Wendel to acquire the remaining 44% of the capital in additional transactions scheduled for 2029, 2032, and 2035. This operation is part of Wendel's strategy to generate new sources of recurring revenue and create asset value through its third-party asset management platform.

Committed Advisors, which has 55 employees, manages 7.7 billion euros of private assets on behalf of third-party investors and has completed more than 250 transactions since its inception. It now becomes the secondary market specialist within Wendel Investment Managers, complementing existing buyout activities through IK Partners and private credit through Monroe Capital. Following this transaction, Wendel Investment Managers manages over 49 billion euros in assets and is expected to exceed 200 million euros in recurring management fees by 2026 in private equity, private debt, and private market solutions. The secondary market, where Committed Advisors operates, has more than doubled in size since 2021.
BNP Paribas Asset Management Alts Investment
BNP Paribas Asset Management Alts has reached an agreement to acquire a 5.9% stake in Committed Advisors from Wendel. This investment is part of the rollout of the GP Stakes team of BNPP AM Alts, which manages 540 million euros in assets under management. Following this acquisition by BNPP AM Alts, Wendel will hold a 50.1% stake in Committed Advisors. This transaction reflects BNPP AM Alts' strong convictions about the secondary markets and solidifies a long-standing relationship between the parties.
