Abivax stock rebounds 2.5% but loses 33% over the quarter
The Parisian biotech company specialized in inflammatory diseases is recovering in a declining Paris market. This rebound comes after several weeks of marked decline, which has placed it far below its main moving averages.
A rebound of 2.25% against an SBF 120 down 0.69%
The Abivax share rises 2.25% to €79.70 during the session, while the SBF 120 falls 0.69% and the CAC 40 0.67%. The security is among the strongest gainers in the index, in a market penalized by tensions on French debt. Today's gain only partially offsets the decline of 12.42% over one month and 33.14% over three months.
The price remains below its three moving averages: 2.02% below the MA20 (€81.34), 13.93% below the MA50 (€92.60) and 20.32% below the MA200 (€100.03). The support at €76.95 was broken through in October, as noted during the October 13 session, and the RSI at 36 remains close to the oversold zone.
Five funds cumulate 5.35% of capital sold short, down sharply over one month
Five funds cumulate a net short position of 5.35% of capital, according to the latest available declarations dated October 15. It fell by 1.67 percentage points over thirty days, after 7.02% a month earlier. This decline indicates that bearish positions have been reduced, although the remaining level is not negligible. It reflects a bet against the security still present among institutional investors, but less pronounced than it was a month ago.
Abivax is listed on two markets: the ordinary share in Paris, eligible for PEA, and the ADS on Nasdaq, which represents the same security on a one-for-one basis. The two lines move in synchronization and the Nasdaq is more liquid there. On the bond market side, the ten-year OAT at 4.93% reflects French budgetary tension.
