Air Liquide's Stock Among Top Gainers in the CAC40
Shares of the industrial gas giant recorded the second highest increase on the CAC 40 this Thursday, closing at €180. The movement unfolds as the Paris index finishes nearly stable. Over one year, however, the stock is still down by 3.16%.
Air Liquide Leads the CAC 40, Ahead of Euronext and ArcelorMittal
Air Liquide's stock rose by 1.67% to close at €180, marking the highest performance in the CAC 40 this Thursday. The stock outperformed Euronext (+1.63%) and ArcelorMittal (+1.45%). At the other end of the spectrum, Airbus dropped by 3.46% and Eiffage by 3.11%. The Paris index ended the session at 8,110.28 points, slightly down. The SBF 120 closed with a comparable change of -0.03%. Across the border, the DAX fell by 0.23%. The session took place in a market context with little directional movement on major European exchanges, with no significant swings in the indices. The VIX dropped to 17.44 points, down 3.43% from the previous day.
Stock Price Reaches Back to Its 20-Day Moving Average, 5% Above the MM200
At €180.02, the stock price has returned to its 20-day moving average, located at €179.70 (a difference of 0.18%). It is above the MM50 at €177.98 and remains 5.18% above the MM200 at €171.16. The RSI at 47 indicates a neutral configuration, without directional excess. The stock is approaching the resistance zone identified at €188.36, which also corresponds to the historical record set last April 24 at €188.72. The reference support remains set at €174.10. Over three months, the performance stands at +2.54%, and the decline over one year has narrowed to 3.16%. It is worth recalling that the group had reported a first-quarter revenue decline of 3.5% in published data on April 28, but with comparable growth of 1.9% and a record level of industrial investments of €1.5 billion. In early May, the group also announced the sale of its biogas activities to Mobius Renewables in four countries. The next technical milestone is close to the historical record set in April.
