Airbus builds training campus near Toulouse to graduate 450 students annually
The European aircraft manufacturer has presented a professional training project in aeronautics and space sectors, structured around a consortium and the construction of a dedicated campus near Toulouse.
A consortium to support sector occupations
Airbus has partnered with 18 industrial and academic partners to advance skills and vocational training in the aeronautics and space sector. The consortium, winner of the "Skills and Future Professions" program from France 2030 (operated by the Banque des Territoires on behalf of the State), aims to coordinate and energize sector efforts to attract more candidates.
The stated objective is to train operators and technicians required to support increased production rates, decarbonization, and digital transformation of the industry. The consortium brings together fifteen companies (including Airbus, ATR, Daher, Derichebourg, Mecachrome, Safran Power Units and Satys), two training organizations (the Airbus High School and the CFAI of Beauzelle) as well as the Campus of Professions and Excellence Qualifications in Aeronautics and Space of Occitania.
A 1,000-capacity campus operational by 2029
Airbus will invest in the construction of a new campus, named "campus eOle", which will bring together the Airbus vocational high school and the Airbus cybersecurity school at the entrance of its Saint-Martin-du-Touch site. The future facility, scheduled for September 2029 school opening, will have accommodation capacity of up to 1,000 people (students and teaching staff).
It will allow approximately 450 students to graduate annually (CAP, Bac Pro, BTS, Aeronautics Specialization Certificates and cybersecurity training) intended for Airbus and its industrial partners. The project benefits from State funding under the France 2030 plan and incorporates bioclimatic design of the building. Preparatory work began in summer 2026, before the start of main construction scheduled for spring 2027.
