Airbus: Flyone Armenia finalizes its first order for two A321neo aircraft
Airbus has finalized an order with Flyone Armenia for two A321neo aircraft. The transaction materializes a memorandum of understanding signed in spring 2026 and represents the Armenian carrier's first direct order from the European aircraft manufacturer.
A first direct order placed with Airbus
Flyone Armenia, presented as the country's leading carrier, has finalized with Airbus the acquisition of two A321neo aircraft. This marks its first direct order from the aircraft manufacturer.
The agreement was initially announced in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding during the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Yerevan on May 5, 2026. The finalization was announced from Toulouse on September 30, 2026.
Two aircraft in 239-seat configuration, LEAP engines
The two A321neo aircraft will be equipped with LEAP engines from CFM International and configured according to a single-class layout of 239 seats in economy class. Airbus indicates that these aircraft are part of the carrier's fleet reinforcement and modernization plan.
Founded in 2021, Flyone Armenia currently operates a fleet of eleven aircraft from the A320 family.
Two executives comment on the agreement
Aram Khachatryan, Chief Executive Officer of Flyone Armenia, described this first direct order as an important and symbolic milestone in the company's development, highlighting a commitment to fleet modernization and long-term growth.
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, EVP Sales for Airbus Commercial Aircraft, indicated welcoming Flyone Armenia as a new customer for the aircraft manufacturer, as part of the development of its A320 family fleet.
