Airbus Partners with Mistral AI to Deploy AI Across Its Operations
On Thursday, Airbus entered into a partnership agreement with Mistral AI, a European artificial intelligence firm. This collaboration aims to integrate trusted AI models throughout the group's operations, from aircraft design to onboard applications, while adhering to strict safety and sovereignty requirements, including for military applications.
An Agreement for AI Across the Entire Aerospace Value Chain
The agreement spans all Airbus activities: commercial aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space. Airbus will acquire licenses for the complete suite of Mistral AI products, enabling the deployment of models locally, in trusted clouds, or as required by the group and its clients. The partnership ensures Airbus access to Mistral AI's researchers and influence over the product roadmap, to develop solutions tailored to the complex challenges of aerospace.
