Airbus stock breaks through its support at €192.40 and extends its decline
The European aircraft manufacturer is experiencing a difficult session on Tuesday, in a nearly stable CAC 40 where few securities show losses of this magnitude over the month. The stock has crossed a technical threshold downward that has been closely monitored for several weeks, accelerating a downward trend that has been setting in since the end of August.
Airbus falls back below its €192.40 support and widens the gap with its moving averages
Airbus is down 1.11% during the session at €190.96, in a Paris market that is only losing 0.1%. The stock broke through its €192.40 support during the session and failed to reclaim it, remaining below this threshold. This downward break extends the decline underway over the month: the stock is shedding nearly 6% over thirty days, in line with the movement described during the sessions last Friday, when the stock had already breached an intermediate level at €193.38.
The price is now trading below the 20-day MA at €195.96 (gap of -2.55%) and below the 50-day MA at €203.07 (gap of -5.96%). Only the 200-day MA at €189.68 remains below the current price, with a gap of only 0.67%: this level constitutes the next reference point in case the decline continues. The RSI at 41 remains in neutral territory, with no marked oversold signal for the time being.
A solid order book in the background, but the monthly context remains under pressure
Over three months, the balance remains contained at -0.49%, and annual performance stands at -2.43%, which puts the recent decline into perspective without erasing its stock-specific nature. In July, Airbus had published solid half-year results, with net profit up 47% and a record order book of 9,222 aircraft. These fundamentals have not been sufficient to support the price since then, with the stock recording several downward threshold breaches since early September.
Furthermore, the Paracom cybersecurity contract for the armed forces secured on September 23, spanning 25 years, has not reversed the downward momentum of the stock. Boeing is down 6.91% during the session, which illustrates the sectoral pressure weighing on the entire aerospace sector. The 200-day MA at €189.68, the only moving average still below the price, represents the next reference level to watch.
