The real estate developer has announced the systematic integration of an air conditioning solution in all its new residential units marketed under the Cogedim brand. This approach aims to ensure summer comfort in a context of increasingly frequent heat waves.
A Maximum Temperature of 26°C Without Price Increase
Altarea has indicated that all its new residential units will guarantee a maximum indoor temperature of 26°C in the main living area, with a differential of approximately 2°C in the bedrooms, even in cases of outdoor temperatures reaching 40°C for several days. According to the group, this solution will be installed in all Cogedim apartments without any increase in the sales price.
The group presents this air conditioning as measured, designed to maintain a comfortable temperature, complementing the bioclimatic design solutions already deployed across all its projects. Altarea frames this approach as a continuation of its Access offering, launched in 2024 and presented as an affordable housing solution tailored to household purchasing power.
Bioclimatic Design and Reversible Heat Pumps
The group structures its summer comfort commitments around two complementary approaches: a bioclimatic design of buildings, already deployed across all its programs, and the integration of an air conditioning solution based on reversible heat pumps, which it claims ensures thermal comfort in both summer and winter.
This system will be supplemented by ceiling-mounted air circulators installed in bedrooms, designed to improve air circulation. Altarea links this initiative to the summer of 2026, marked by successive heat waves.
