Among the strongest gainers on the CAC 40, Thales stock rebounds by 2.5%
The defense electronics group is making a strong comeback this Friday, in a Parisian market advancing moderately. This recovery comes after a month of decline and ahead of a revenue publication, while the stock remains in a deteriorated technical configuration.
A rebound that brings the stock back above its 20-day moving average but below its long-term averages
The Thales stock gains 2.59% to €233.60 during the session, among the strongest gainers on the CAC 40, while the index advances by 0.31%. The move extends a gain of 8.3% over seven days, but leaves the monthly balance negative, at -2.63%. The price thus moves back above the 20-day moving average (€226.79, difference of +3.00%), while remaining below the 50-day moving average (€239.96, difference of -2.65%) and below the 200-day moving average (€242.71, difference of -3.75%).
The RSI at 47.72 is neutral, far from the oversold levels observed at the beginning of the month, when the stock had lost its support level of €224.50. The nearest resistance is at €240.90, support at €215.70.
Third quarter revenue expected on October 22
Thales will publish its third quarter 2026 revenue on October 22, an appointment that the stock is approaching after a decline of 6.34% over one year. The group has made multiple announcements in recent days: a service center in Japan, presented in a press release on October 14, with an objective of increasing its local workforce by 16% by 2030, then an interim dividend of €1.05 per share for fiscal year 2026, decided by its board of directors on September 29. These elements, already known to the market, precede the October 22 publication, the next scheduled date on the group's calendar.
