Amundi and SBI to Divest Up to 10% of SBI Funds Management Through IPO in Mumbai
SBI Funds Management Limited (SBIFM), a joint venture between State Bank of India and Amundi, filed its preliminary prospectus with Indian authorities on July 8, 2026, in preparation for its initial public offering on the Indian stock markets.
Following the announcement of the IPO plan published on November 6, 2025, SBIFM filed its Red Herring Prospectus (RHP) on July 8, 2026, with the Registrar of Companies in Mumbai, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and the BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited. As of the filing date, SBIFM had 2,036,827,612 shares outstanding. A maximum of 10% of the capital is to be divested in the transaction: 6.3% by SBI (128,334,397 shares) and 3.7% by Amundi (75,374,842 shares). The operation does not include the issuance of new shares.

The price range for the IPO has been set between 545 and 574 INR per share, in accordance with SEBI ICDR regulations. According to the indicative schedule, the subscription period reserved for anchor investors will open on July 13, 2026. The IPO will be open to the public from July 14 to July 16, 2026. The first listing is expected to occur on July 21, 2026, at the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited.
