Aperam shares rebound 3.5% and move back above key averages
Two days after hitting the bottom of the SBF 120, Aperam is experiencing a marked rebound at the end of the week, clearly moving back above its key moving averages. The movement occurs in a broadly subdued European stock market context, where the CAC 40 and SBF 120 are losing ground slightly during the session.
Aperam leads the SBF 120, supported by Deutsche Bank which raises its price target to €66
This Friday, Aperam gains 3.5% to €49.10, ranking among the strongest gainers in the SBF 120 in a market struggling to find direction. The catalyst for the day is clear: Deutsche Bank raised its price target from €65 to €66 this Friday, while maintaining its buy opinion. At the current price of €49.10, this represents an upside potential of nearly 34% according to this opinion.
The rebound partially erases the decline on Wednesday, when the steelmaker suffered one of the sharpest drops in the SBF 120, in a context of volatility that was rising sharply at the time. The VIX fell back to 14.17 this Friday, compared to 15.20 the previous day, a signal of easing market tensions.
A return above moving averages that strengthens bullish momentum over one year
On the technical indicators front, today's rebound consolidates a positive technical configuration. The share is trading above its 20-day MA at €46.49 (spread of +5.61%) and its 50-day MA at €46.04 (spread of +6.65%), two levels it had briefly tested during Wednesday's decline. The immediate resistance is located at €49.74, within reach of the current price: a break above this level would open up more room technically. The RSI at 53 remains in neutral territory, without excess on either side, which leaves room for upside without an overbought signal.
Over one year, Aperam's performance has reached nearly 88%, a trajectory that contrasts with the 7.45% decline over three months. When publishing T1 2026 results (July 30, 2026), the company had highlighted gains already achieved of €18 million in its Phase 6 of the Leadership Journey, while emphasizing risks related to energy volatility and geopolitical tensions. The €49.74 resistance remains the level to watch to confirm the continuation of the rebound.
