Audacia Appoints Constance d'Avout as Partner in Development Capital Division
Audacia has announced the appointment of Constance d'Avout as a Partner in its Development Capital division. With a 15-year background in private equity, she will be responsible for enhancing the group's deployment in strategic sectors, with a special focus on Straton, the fund dedicated to SMEs in the defense industrial and technological base.
A Profile from Leading European Private Equity Funds
Constance d'Avout, aged 38, holds a degree from EM Lyon Business School. She began her career at Moelis & Company in London as an M&A and restructuring analyst. She then joined EQT Partners for nearly four years, serving as a senior lender in credit opportunities and mid-market credit, before being involved in the successful restructuring and sale of Tiama to Caravelle. She continued at Silverfleet Capital in Paris, a mid-market private equity fund, where she assessed and monitored majority investments in French companies valued between €75 and €300 million. Since 2020, she has been at Wendel, where she has reached the position of Senior Director, managing equity investments ranging from €300 to €600 million.
Expertise in Governance and the Defense Sector
At Wendel, Constance d'Avout led a six-person investment team and oversaw operations such as Globeducate (€600 million ticket), the management of the exit of Constantia Flexibles (EBITDA of approximately €300 million, exit enterprise value over €2 billion), and the restructuring of Tsebo. Throughout her career, she has served on the boards of several portfolio companies, including Tsebo, Constantia Flexibles, and Globeducate, as well as on the Wendel Cares endowment fund. This governance experience in large-scale industrial and service companies strengthens her position to support the growth of Straton's investments, Audacia's target fund for financing defense SMEs and mid-sized enterprises.
