Beneteau shares fall another 19.5% over three months and attempt a rebound
The pleasure boat manufacturer rebounded at the end of the session, in a well-oriented Parisian market. After months of decline, the stock has returned to its 20-day moving average (MM20) and is attempting to break out of its low zone.
A rebound bringing the stock back to its MM20
Beneteau gains 2.56% to €4.80 as the close approaches, while the CAC 40 rises 1.19%.
The price is in contact with its MM20, at €4.78, a level that had acted as a ceiling for several weeks. It remains, however, below the MM50 (€5.21), 7.87% away from the price, and below the MM200 (€6.48), nearly 26% away. This position explains why the day's rebound does not, at this stage, change the underlying trend: the stock is still down 19.19% over three months and 43.93% over one year.
Support at €4.61 lies 4% below the current price, while resistance stands at €5.58.
Half-year results and the nautical market backdrop
On 23 September, when publishing its first-half 2026 results, the group reported retail sales up 14%, ahead of the market in each segment, and 24 new models launched for the 2026/2027 season. It also cited among its risks the Middle East conflict, which keeps pleasure boat owners on the sidelines, and a marked decline in order intake since March.
The group has also sold its Cadillac site and three brands to restore its margins. On the capital side, €8 million of shares were bought back over twelve months, or 2% of market capitalisation, according to the latest declaration read on 26 October.
The stock hit a low not seen since 2020 on 29 July, and today's close will show whether it holds the MM20 regained during the session.
