Best performers in the CAC 40: Kering stock rebounds 1.5% at its support level
The luxury group owning Gucci and Saint Laurent is recovering in mid-morning trading, as the CAC 40 is also moving higher. The rebound comes after several weeks of pressure and as Kering has just announced a departure from the creative direction of one of its houses.
A rebound that leaves the stock well below its three moving averages
Kering shares are advancing 1.69% to €210.05, following the previous close at €206.55 (technical support level). The stock ranks among the strongest gainers in the CAC 40, which is up 0.81%, but remains significantly below its moving averages: 6.72% below the 20-day MA (€225.19) and 18.63% below the 200-day MA (€258.13). The RSI at 27 reflects an oversold configuration, which explains the limited nature of the rebound following a 14.05% decline over one month. Over the week, the stock remains down 3.34%.

Kering publicly announced on October 9 the departure of Anthony Vaccarello, who had led creative direction at Saint Laurent since 2016. On the results side, the group had published its first-half 2026 accounts on July 29: Group net income fell 60% to €189 million and Gucci's revenue declined 5% on a comparable basis. Management set itself the objective of returning to growth and improving profitability.
Conversely, net debt had been reduced by €4.7 billion through the sale of Kering Beauty. The group also announced in May a share buyback program worth €8.6 billion. The next technical reference point is the support level at €206.55, at the level of the last closing price.
