Bureau Veritas Accredited in Canada as a Railway Safety Assessor
On Friday, Bureau Veritas was granted accreditation by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) as a provider of independent safety assessment reports for railway systems. This certification allows the company to conduct risk assessments in compliance with the Canadian Common Method of Risk Assessment and Analysis (CMREA) and the CSA R114:2022 standard.
Accreditation Covering the Entire Railway Lifecycle
The SCC accreditation enables Bureau Veritas to act as an Independent Safety Assessment Reporter (ISAR) across the complete phases of railway projects: design, manufacturing, commissioning, operation, and upgrades. This recognition is based on the group's over 25 years of experience in the railway safety sector. Bureau Veritas will deploy technical expertise in signaling systems, rolling stock, infrastructure, cybersecurity, as well as autonomous and digital technologies.
Industrial Product Certification Services for the Railway Sector
Beyond safety assessment, Bureau Veritas offers comprehensive Industrial Product Certification (IPC) services aimed at manufacturers, system integrators, and railway operators. These services meet stringent requirements for safety, reliability, availability, maintainability, and cybersecurity throughout the product lifecycle, from design to testing and certification. The group leverages its global network of experts to assist clients in navigating constantly evolving local regulatory frameworks, thereby accelerating market entry and reducing project risks.
