Bureau Veritas Renews Its Commitment to the UN Global Compact Until 2026
Bureau Veritas has renewed its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact until 2026, reaffirming its focus on responsible and sustainable business practices globally.
Integrating the Principles of the Pact into Corporate Strategy
Since joining the Global Compact in 2023, the group has incorporated the ten principles of the initiative concerning human rights, labor rights, the environment, and anti-corruption into its corporate strategy and global operations. According to Noor Sait, Director of Performance, 'By renewing our commitment to the UN Global Compact, Bureau Veritas reaffirms its dedication to conducting business responsibly, creating long-term value for its stakeholders, and contributing to global sustainable development. As sustainability expectations continue to rise, we remain committed to integrating the principles of the Global Compact into our strategy, culture, and daily operations, while also supporting our clients on their own sustainability journeys.'
Four Pillars of Commitment Defined
Bureau Veritas structures its commitment around four main pillars. The company commits to maintaining the highest standards of integrity in all its operations and geographical areas (ethical business practices). It also commits to supporting its clients in their transition to sustainable practices while reducing its own environmental footprint (environmental responsibility), promoting diversity, inclusion, and fair labor practices globally (social responsibility), and publishing detailed annual reports on its sustainability initiatives in its Universal Registration Document and CSRD reports (transparency).
