Bureau Veritas Share Falls 1.5% and Breaks Below Its 27.98€ Resistance Level
The inspection and certification group is declining during the session, in a Paris market oriented downward. The pullback occurs on the eve of a financial meeting, while the stock remained positioned above its moving averages.
A Decline of 1.32% That Brings the Price to 27.61€ Below Its Resistance
The Bureau Veritas share loses 1.32% to 27.61€, compared to 27.98€ at the previous close. The stock closed the previous day at 27.98€, precisely at its resistance level. The decline places it at 32nd rank in the CAC 40, which falls 0.65%, marking an underperformance of the stock of nearly double compared to the index.
The stock nonetheless remains well positioned above its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at 27.00€ (difference of +2.26%), the 50-day MA at 27.34€ (+0.99%) and the 200-day MA at 27.12€ (+1.81%). The RSI at 61.41 reflects a rather bullish configuration, which this pullback does not call into question.
A Meeting on October 21 and a 200M€ Share Buyback Program Half Less Advanced
The group will publish its third quarter 2026 revenue on October 21. The meeting closely follows the Investor Day on September 22, during which Bureau Veritas had raised its 2027-2028 targets and set a target of one billion euros in revenue in artificial intelligence. The 200M€ share buyback program, announced on February 25, was executed at approximately 28% as of October 12, representing 56M€ repurchased, according to the latest issuer declaration.
Over twelve months, these buybacks represent 0.4% of market capitalization. The stock's next key event therefore remains the revenue release on October 21.
