Colas: Its Subsidiary Destia Secures €76M in Road Contracts in Finland
Destia, the Finnish subsidiary of the Colas Group, has won seven regional road maintenance contracts in Finland for the period 2026-2031, totaling approximately €76M. These contracts include five new agreements and the renewal of two existing contracts with Finnish authorities.
Seven Contracts Awarded Across Seven Finnish Geographic Zones
Following a tender by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency and the Southwest Finland Economic Development Center, Destia secured contracts covering Ylivieska, Lappeenranta, Orivesi, Raasepori, Veteli, and Pietarsaari for the period 2026-2031, as well as Nummi for the period 2026-2028.
All contracts will take effect on October 1, 2026. The services include maintenance of gravel roads, winter operations, road environment management, maintenance of green spaces, drainage systems, road signage, and the equipment and structures along the routes.
Strengthened Position in Finland
Destia currently manages 36 of the country's 79 regional road maintenance contracts. These new contracts reinforce Colas's position as a partner to Finnish authorities in the design, construction, and maintenance of transport infrastructure.
The company will particularly rely on its Winter Maintenance Management Center, which coordinates operations based on near real-time weather data to optimize snow removal and pavement treatment.
