Crédit Agricole Announces 2026 Capital Increase Reserved for Employees, with a 20% Discount
Crédit Agricole S.A. announced on Tuesday the launch of its annual capital increase reserved for group employees worldwide. More than 190,000 current and former retired employees will be eligible to subscribe to new shares at a 20% discount on the subscription price.
An Opportunity Open to Over 190,000 Collaborators
The 2026 capital increase targets approximately 190,000 eligible employees and former retired collaborators of the Crédit Agricole group worldwide. The subscription price will be equal to the arithmetic average of the opening share prices between May 26 and June 22, 2026, applied with a 20% reduction. The subscription period will open on June 24 and close on July 8, 2026.
Share Buyback to Offset Dilution
The operation involves a maximum of 32 million new shares, with a nominal value of 96 million euros. The shares will be issued on August 27, 2026, and will be eligible for dividends for the fiscal year 2026, with an initial interim payment in October 2026. This capital increase will be followed by a share buyback program, intended to neutralize its dilutive effect and subject to approval by the European Central Bank.
